We took Millie on her first bike ride yesterday! It was a nice day out so we thought we would take advantage. We were so excited when we found this bike trailer because we kind of thought Millie would be too little to go on rides this summer. We found this trailer though that has an insert for infants. She absolutely loved the ride. We just rode around our complex a couple of times and she just looked around the whole time. The only time she started crying was when we stopped to talk to one of our neighbors. As soon as we started riding again, she was happy as can be. We are so happy that she likes it and can't wait to go on many more rides this summer!

One month old
Millie is one month old today! The past month has been so great.. we feel like Millie has been a part of our family forever! The first picture was taken today at one month old. It was also Millie's first day at church today. We went to Manda and Ben's baby's, Easton, baby blessing. We can't believe how much Millie has already changed in just one month. She is growing up so fast!
Some things we have learned about Millie in the first month:
-She makes so many crazy faces
-She is a smiley baby and we absolutely love her smiles. We can't wait until she smiles on purpose
-She loves sleeping with her hands by her face and does not like being swaddled
-She does not sleep very well in her bassinet but she likes sleeping in her swing
-She is a snuggly baby and Scott and I love cuddling with our girl
-She has such a little personality already and is a stubborn girl.. especially when it comes to eating
-She peed on Scott for the first time while he was changing her diaper last week
-She has SO much hair and we think its so dang cute! She gets some crazy bed head though. We think her hair has already lightened quite a bit.
-She likes sitting up in the corner of our couch and looks all around.
-Millie weighed 8 lbs 7 oz last Monday when we took her to get weighed but we take her again tomorrow so we will see how much she weighs then. She was 21.5 inches at her two week appointment.
We love being parents and think we have the cutest little girl on the planet! (and no we are not biased at all! :))

Millie Jo Evanson
Our beautiful baby girl was born March 22, 2012. I was a week overdue and I was supposed to be induced that morning, but I ended up going into labor about 7 hours before I was supposed to be induced. Everything went super smoothly and we couldn't have asked for a better labor experience. I started having contractions at about midnight, we got to the hospital at 3 am, and our baby girl was born at 10:11 am. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz when she was born and was 20 inches long. We just absolutely adore her! Even though it is hard, we love being parents and feel so blessed to have Millie in our life! Here are a few pics of the first few days of Millie's life!

Been too long...

I have been really bad about updating.. as you can tell! I'm not even going to try and play catch up because so much has happened since I posted last. I am due in 9 days and can not wait to meet our baby girl! I noticed in the last post that I said we were having a boy.. well, turns out that our first ultrasound was wrong and we are actually having a girl! We couldn't be more excited and can't wait to be parents!

Baby bump!
As I am sure many of you have heard by now...
I AM PREGNANT!!!!!!
We couldn't be more excited! I am just over 17 weeks, due March 15th, and we found out this past week that we think we are having a BOY!! The doctor said there is about a 15% chance of a mistake with an early ultrasound but we are having another ultrasound at the beginning of November so hopefully it will be more clear then! Here is the first picture we have taken of the baby bump!

Summer Time
We are still alive! This summer has just been so crazy.. We have been out of town so much! I can't believe the summer is over already. A few things we have been up to this summer:
-GRADUATION!
-Cruise to Mexico with the lady I work with
-Scott's first mountain bike race at Soldier Hollow
-Weekend trip to St. George with the Ahlstrom's
-Les Miserables at Capital Theater
-Trip to Colorado/ Moab with a few of our besties for a week
-Family reunion in Iowa with the Rodebush side of the family
-Family reunion in Beaver with the Sorensen side of the family
-Kyle spending the weekend in Provo with us
-Family trip to Lake Blaine with the Evanson's- getting to play on the lake with our nieces and nephews for a week
-Saying goodbye to a lot of our friends as they move for grad school and jobs
This summer really has been super fun but it has definitely been busy as well! We got to go on lots of awesome trips the past couple of months. The worst part of the summer was saying goodbye to so many of our best friends. It has been a big change for us because we have been in the same ward since we have been married and have had such an amazing group of friends this whole time. We look forward to traveling to different parts of the country to visit all our friends!
* I have been a total slacker with taking pictures this summer so I'm sorry for the lack of pics. Here are a few though.*

We will miss you!
My great grandma, Grandma Mimi, passed away last night. She was 97 years old and lived a long and happy life. It was fun knowing Grandma Mimi so well because so many people don't ever get to meet their great grandparents. Although she was old and it was her time to go, we will miss her so so much! We love and will miss you Grandma!
