Blessing Day

 Today Millie was blessed in church!  It was a beautiful blessing and day! I am so grateful so many friends and family were able to be there to celebrate the special day with us! I will let the pictures do the talking.. I know there are a lot!

Mother's Day

My first mother's day was awesome!  Scott was so sweet and made me feel really special and loved.  He got me this cute necklace that I am in love with!  I have the best husband ever!

I am so lucky to have the best mom in the world as well!  She is my best friend and has been such an amazing example to me of the kind of mom I hope to be to my daughter.   

I also have such an amazing mother in law!  Whenever I hear about crazy mother in laws, I feel so lucky to have married into such an amazing family!  Darla is the best mother in law I could ask for!

 This is a picture we took on mother's day as well.  Scott's grandparents just left on a mission to the Cook Islands.. their 8th mission!!!  They are so great and it was so fun to see them before they left!

This mother's day, I was so grateful to be a mother.  Motherhood is the most amazing experience.  It is such hard work, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!  There are many days that I feel like I am busy all day long and then I get to the end of the day and look at my house and try and think back on my day, and it seems as if I have gotten nothing done.  Taking care of Millie takes up much of my day but it is so worth it!  I never knew I could love someone so much especially in such a short amount of time!  Millie is the love of our life and we feel so blessed to be parents!

Let's be real.. any picture of Millie is a favorite of mine! But here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks!

One of my best friends, Manda, had a baby 6 days before Millie was born.  This is at her little boy's baby blessing.  Easton is so cute and its such a blast having our kids so close together!

Aunt Natalie holding Millie.  Nat just moved home for the summer and we are going to miss her so much.  Luckily we get to see her a few times during the summer.  

In the mornings, Millie likes to lay in bed with us sometimes!  We love snuggling with her.  Scott snapped a pic before he left for work the other day.

Bath time!  Millie loves the bath.. she just looks around and likes sitting in the warm water.  The only times she gets mad/sad are sometimes when I wash her hair and when she has to get out!

Reading books with Mommy!  

Grandma came to visit when she came out to drive back home with Natalie.  Millie loves snuggling with grandma and we had so much fun when she was here.  We were sad when grandma and Nat had to leave.  Luckily we will see them again in less than a month.

Millie in her car seat.  She likes riding in her car seat!  And she loves having her hands and fingers by her face.  She sucks on her fingers all the time.. it's so cute!

Scott and I went to a Real Salt Lake soccer game last weekend.  It was our first date without Millie.  I'll be honest.. I totally cried when we left!  It seems so silly, but it is hard to leave her when I have been with her 24/7 for the last 5 and a half weeks!  I know its good to get out without her occasionally though and the game was tons of fun!  Luckily Grandma Darla watched Millie while we were gone so we knew she was in great hands!

Millie loves her swing and looking at her toys!  Currently at night, she almost always sleeps in her swing!  We figure if she sleeps the best in the swing, we will let her sleep there cause then we get some sleep!

Millie is smiling so much more lately!  We absolutely love it!  She looks so big in these pictures.. I can't believe how fast time is flying and how much she changes everyday!

Using the Moby wrap!  I am still trying the master this wrap but so many people swear by them!  I actually really like it so far and I think Millie likes it too.  I walked around the neighborhood yesterday and hung out at the park chatting with a few other moms and Millie just slept in it for over an hour!

We just love Millie to pieces and can't believe how fast she is growing up!  I will try to keep up on the blog with pictures cause I take TONS of pictures!  Its hard not to take pictures non stop of this cute girl!

First Bike Ride

We took Millie on her first bike ride yesterday! It was a nice day out so we thought we would take advantage.  We were so excited when we found this bike trailer because we kind of thought Millie would be too little to go on rides this summer.  We found this trailer though that has an insert for infants.  She absolutely loved the ride.  We just rode around our complex a couple of times and she just looked around the whole time.  The only time she started crying was when we stopped to talk to one of our neighbors.  As soon as we started riding again, she was happy as can be.  We are so happy that she likes it and can't wait to go on many more rides this summer!
